About

Alex Fullerton

Author’s Consultant

Hi, I’m Alex Fullerton. For over two decades, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of aspiring authors to turn their ideas into professionally published books. My work as founder and owner of Author Support Services is rooted in a simple mission: bringing clarity, structure and nurturing to your writing so your message can truly shine.

Over 20 years in book coaching, editing and self-publishing has taught me exactly what it takes to guide writers through every stage of the publishing journey.

Behind the Story: If you’d like to read more about my unconventional path – including surviving the Boxing Day tsunami with my children, and my journey back into life and business, feel free to click on the Profile magazine cover (below).

I am proud that alongside the business, I successfully built a not-for-profit group, the Sunshine Coast Women Entrepreneurs. The membership of around 2,500 women benefited from regular meetings and training in a variety of business skills. Mentoring women in startups has informed my work in publishing and helped me understand the diverse needs of readers and businesswomen.

After growing the business to become a Businesswoman of the Year finalist in 2015, I transitioned into a tailored consultancy role. Learning the power of rest after my accident allowed me to focus on nurturing clients as my team guided them through every step of their self-publishing journey. You can click on the Muse magazine cover below to read the feature article on learning to rest and realigning business focus.

This journey ultimately led to my retirement from all face-to-face work in early 2026 and to the development of all the information into the Bring Your Book to Life online masterclass course.

That online masterclass, Bring Your Book to Life, is Australia’s most comprehensive non-fiction self-publishing masterclass. It provides step-by-step virtual consulting to take you seamlessly from initial concept to planning, writing, editing, designing and publishing your book on your terms.

Whether you are just testing an initial idea or preparing a final manuscript, this online course gives you the expert support and resources to make your publishing goals a reality. It allows you to work in your own time, at your own pace.

  • Let’s Bring Your Book to Life with this self-paced online course: a complete, step-by-step masterclass distilling 20 years of publishing expertise into actionable modules.
